Suppose you were Baker ’ s classmates, write a letter to congratulate Baker for his success in writing after he won the Pulitzer Prize. Structure: Addresses Both the letter sender’s and the receiver’s addresses are located at the top of the letter page. Consider which address should in the left and which one in the right. Date of Writing the Letter Located beneath the letter sender’s address (top-right). Greeting Greetings can be very formal or informal depends on the relationship between you and the letter receiver. Examples: Formal: Dear + Mr/Mrs/Miss/Ms/Dr... + Surname Informal: First name, beloved, darling, honey, nickname ... Content Ask questions to find out what they ’ ve been doing and what interests them. ? Example: ? How’s everything going? / You all right? ... Talk about yourself - family special events, trips you ’ ve been on. Write some news about school — your teacher, your friend, special visitors and activities. Postscript. You can use a P.S. to add something at the end of the letter that you forgot to say earlier. A P.S. always comes at the bottom of the letter, below your signature.
