That way, no one could tell him he was too young to be an author. 'Find people who will support and encourage you,' he says. -Practice Whether they're writers, musicians or athletes, successful kids put lots of energy into their talent. 'To rise to the top, make your skill your daily focus,' Paolini says. -Don't Quit 'So many times when I was writing Eragon, I was an inch away from giving up,' he says, 'I'm so glad I didn't.'
