甲公司与乙公司签订了一份买卖合同。合同约定：乙公司供给甲公司限量生产的X型号的手表1000块，每块单价100元；甲公司应交付定金2万元；如果一方违约，则应支付总价款的20%作为违约金。合同签订后，甲公司立即将2万元定金交付乙公司，并很快与丙公司就同一批货物签订了一份买卖合同，每块表单价120元。后乙公司没有按期履行合同。由此导致甲公司无法履行与丙公司之间的合同，为此甲公司公司支付违约金2万元。现甲公司要求乙公司双倍返还定金4万元、支付违约金2万元。请问：（1）甲公司是否可以要求乙公司既承担违约金责任，又承担定金责任？为什么？　　（2）若乙公司本已准备了1000块手表，但在履行期到来之前三天因突发地震而灭失，乙公司当即公司通报了此情况，问乙公司是否应公司承担违约责任？为什么？
