Here is how you can make a necklace that smells like roses. First find roses that smell very sweet. Pick about four cups of rose flowers. Pick only the colored flowers. Be sure to keep the green parts out. Then tear the flowers into very tiny pieces. Put the pieces into a bowl, and add l/2 cup of cold water. Use a wooden spoon to mash the flower bits. Mash them into a smooth paste. Next cook the rose paste in a big pot. You can use a pot made of glass or iron. Cook the paste on low heat. Watch it all the time. If the paste gets too hot and begins to boil, it will not smell good anymore. Stir the rose paste so it will not burn. The paste is ready when it sticks to the sides of the pot. Turn off the heat and let the paste cool. When the paste has cooled, it's time to make rose beads. Squeeze the paste in your hands. It should be stiff and a little sticky. If it's still really wet, pat it with a soft paper towel. Now "make little balls about l inch across. Then stick a big needle through each ball to make a hole. After you make the holes, put the beads on clean paper to dry. Drying them will take two or three days. Turn the beads over carefully each day. This helps them dry evenly.
