Write two reflective logs during the term. Why do we keep a reflective learning log? Reflection is a useful process which helps you make sense and learn from your experiences. It allows you to demonstrate that you can think critically about your own skills or practice in order to improve and learn. It is important to analyze rather than just describe what you are reflecting on, and to emphasize how you will apply what you have learned. “It is not sufficient to have an experience in order to learn. Without reflecting on this experience it may quickly be forgotten, or its learning potential lost.” —Gibbs (1988: 9) 2. 2. What are expected in your reflective learning log? a) Activities taken This can be learning a new theme, brainstorming and outlining a writing topic, peer review, editing an essay, etc. b) How do you feel about the session? Do you enjoy the session? What did you see as your improvement? c) Challenges faced Do you have any difficulties? Why do they arise? How did you deal with them? d) Action to be taken How are you going to deal with the difficulties? Or how can you improve further in future learning?
