How are you these days? M: Not very well. I always feel tired. What's even worse, I often feel depressed for no reason. It seems that I feel tired of the Internet. W: You? Tired of the Internet? Don't you spend at least five hours a day on the net? M: Yes, I do. But there are times when the Net bored me to tears, however, I don't know what to do when I'm not sitting in front of the computer. W: Oh, poor guy. I think your depression has something to do with the Internet. M: Will the Internet cause depression? W: Several days ago, I attended a lecture. The professor told us that Internet use appears to the cause a decline in psychological health, according to the research at Carnegie Mellon University. They started the research two years ago and found that even people who spent just a few hours a week on the Internet experienced more depression and loneliness than those who logged on less frequently. M: I do not understand. I think at least the Net should be healthier than television. You know, when watching TV, we are like fools staring at the screen. But on Internet, you have absolute freedom to choose your information and you can communicate with your friends by emails, or by chatting on line, or by leaving messages on BBS. How is Jacky recently?
