I was watching this movie on television the other day about a man who did what ever it took to get money. To him, money was 1 . He killed his own brother and even his wife to 2 what he wanted. This man didn’t allow anything or anyone to 3 him. Money is a resource of power and status. People who 4 a lot of money also have a lot of money to spend. We have always considered 5 to be powerful people. A lot of money allows people to 6 other people as well. Do parents realize that kinds at an 7 age recognize that having money to spend provides them 8 a feeling of power? It 9 them to take control of status. Teens learn this feeling of power from adults 10 they observe parents showing off their purchases or 11 to neighbours about their new BMW. Teens quickly link 12 with success and power. Who are the most powerful people in the world? Bill Gates? President George Bush? Take a look at the well-respected 13 magazine, Forbes. Each year Forbes 14 a list of the Top CEOs. The list is based on how money money each CEO 15 during the preceding year. But do you know that not all powerful people are 16 ? Some have been very poor, like our dear Mother Theresa, the nun who worked tirelessly to 17 the world’s poorest and most desperate people. She could do all this 18 she had courage and belief and most 19 form the love of her heart. Is money powerful ? What do we want to tell our teens? Let’s give much 20 to this.
