O n the Road W hen I was a child, my family 1 a road trip every summer. We 2 from our home in New Yor k City to my grandmother ’ s home in Missouri. T he 1580-kilometer trip 3 two or three days. I always thought my family had 4 on road trips. M any times our car broke down. I t was always very hot. Sometimes the air conditioner 5 . My brother, my sister and I sat in the back. my sister, the youngest, always sat 6 . She would 7 . Then her little 8 would fall onto my shoulder. I would always push her head 9 my brother ’ s shoulder, and he would push it back. She just slept through everything. Road trips were long and boring , but we had some good laughs along the way.
